What is your favorite part of working at Bluegrass?

We are small enough to know things about each other which creates a better, more friendly working environment. It is nice to come to work and know all of the faces that I see. It is amazing how such a diverse group of individuals comes together to accomplish so much.

When people ask what you do, how do you respond?

I am in HR for a reason – I like to fix issues for people. Each day is so different for me. I could be helping on a project, orienting a new hire, walking an employee through the process concerning Covid, involved in a HIPAA situation, training, explaining to a young new hire about insurance and how it works, or just listening to an employee with a problem (whether it is personal or business-related). In my role, I must be adaptive, flexible, and have the ability to think on the spot to handle the issues that are presented daily.

What is a little known fact about you?

I thought about being a Medical Examiner. Quincy MD was an obsession. I was an avid roller skater and participated in dances, races, and specialized events such as limbo and high jump competitions.

What is an accomplishment you’re proud of?

My children are college graduates! One has a master's degree. It took commitment and sacrifice to ensure it would happen.
